Mr. Cronin was an assistant district attorney in Worcester County from 1986-1990, serving as lead prosecutor in the District and Superior Courts of the Commonwealth and a special prosecutor for the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office from 1990 to 2009, presenting cases before grand juries and juries in the District and Superior Courts. In 2015 Attorney Cronin was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States of America.

Among the honors he has earned, he has been certified under the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) by a panel of federal judges to provide court-appointed criminal defense in federal court. He is certified by the Massachusetts Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS) to provide criminal defense for Murder List and serious Rule 8 felonies in the Superior Court. In 2015 he was named as a TOP 100 100 Criminal Defense Attorney by The National Trial Lawyer’s Association.

He has served as a faculty panelist on criminal and civil litigation programs for the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Program, and serves as a CPCS- supervising Attorney, certified mentor and resource attorney, instructing new attorneys in trial techniques and substantive law.
